DAYTON, Ohio, Jan. 21, 2025 — TriComB2B, a national agency focused on business-to-business marketing of technical products and services, has announced the winners of their third annual Marketing Pathway Scholarship for Dayton Public Schools students.
TriComB2B developed a portfolio review and competition which gave participating students a chance to showcase their creativity and uncover skills that could be applied to a career in marketing. Students from Meadowdale Career Technology Center and the David H. Ponitz Career Technology Center were asked to develop a portfolio showcasing their best work, which included: at least two examples of creative expression, a short personal introduction and a writing sample of their choice.
Winning entries showcased their talents in web and digital design, creative writing, video production, live performance and photography.
Five students from the two schools were awarded a total of $7,000 in scholarship prizes as follows:
- First Place: Landon Keaton.
- Second Place: Monica Dut.
- Third Place: Haylie Chavez.
- Agency’s Choice Submission From Gaming Technology: Izabella Sapp Gonzalez.
- Agency’s Choice Submission From Media Arts: Damya Woodall.
“We’re honored for a chance to see the great work these students are doing,” said Chris Eifert, TriComB2B principal. “Moving into our third year as partners with the district, it’s inspiring to our team to see such diverse talent in our local community. Izabella, Haylie and Damya are all repeat winners, and we’ve already witnessed incredible growth as they hone their skills. We can’t wait to see what they and all of Dayton’s students accomplish after graduation.”
The agency’s partnership with the district is intended to inspire and motivate students to work toward their future goals and break down financial barriers that may impact their success. Additionally, graduating senior students participating in the competition would be equipped with quality, professional portfolios to use for both work and school applications. A secondary review is set to take place in the spring.
