Account Executive

We are searching for communicative candidates who are proactive and passionate about business-to-business (B2B) marketing and the clients we serve. Account Executives act as a point of contact for our clients. They build long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with contacts, always striving to develop the best marketing strategies for the individual needs of each client. They aid internal departments by documenting essential information for project execution, connecting team members with client subject matter experts, and providing guidance on deliverables. They also stay abreast of industry and marketing trends.

To succeed in this position, candidates should have exceptional communication, technological and problem-solving skills. You should be resourceful, analytical, adaptable and organized with the ability to build rapport with clients.

General Responsibilities:

  • Manage strategic and tactical marketing efforts for clients.
  • Learn, understand, and execute best practices for marketing strategies and tactics for B2B enterprises.
  • Obtain deep understanding of clients’ businesses and marketing goals plus in-depth knowledge of client product lines and served customers/markets.
  • Build relationships with clients based on trust and respect.
  • Collect and analyze data to learn more about decision-maker behaviors.
  • Compile and analyze data to identify industry trends.
  • Act as a client advocate, with a focus on exemplary customer service. 
  • Assist Account Director with client needs.
  • Follow direction of the Account Director.
  • Manage deadlines.

Specific Duties:

  • Collaborate with TriComB2B’s resources (creative, design/graphics, video/motion, marketing technology, PR/media) to develop presentations, proposals and project deliverables.
  • Interface with client marketing executives and managers, product managers and engineers to gather and interpret project requirements and objectives.
  • Act as liaison between team and external suppliers as needed for project execution.
  • Manage and execute client projects turnkey. Functions include:
    • Developing marketing strategies with client and agency resources.
    • Defining project scopes and developing proposals. 
    • Coordinating with clients and internal resources to ensure everyone has the tools/information needed to complete projects on time.
    • Supervising quality and accuracy of deliverables.
    • Managing client budgets and internal costs.
  • Keep up-to-date and accurate client billing records.
  • Participate in the negotiation process for new projects.
  • Resolve client complaints and prevent additional issues by improving processes.
  • Keep accurate records pertaining to the status of client accounts.
  • Routinely report to management on the status of open or potential projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.
  • 5–7 years’ experience as a marketing Account Executive (or similar).
  • Abilities to collect, track and analyze large amounts of data.
  • Abilities to build rapport and collaborate with others within the company and externally.
  • Understanding of B2B customer behaviors and industry trends.
  • The drive and energy to manage multiple accounts while looking for new opportunities.
  • Abilities to understand client needs and handle the negotiation process.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Computer skills, especially MS Office and marketing automation software. 
  • Abilities to multitask and work efficiently and effectively to meet required deadlines.
  • Abilities to learn quickly and apply that knowledge.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent active listening skills.
  • Minimal travel may be required.
