TriComB2B is seeking a full-time Media Analyst to support our growing Media Department. Simply put, if you love analyzing data and performance trends and have the ability to turn those findings into compelling stories that inspire others to adapt their approach, this is the job for you! The primary duties of this position will include (but are not limited to): supporting the agency in evaluating client campaign performances; researching competitive landscapes and marketplace trends; identifying opportunities for campaign optimization efforts; and taking our reporting capabilities to the next level.
In this position, you will own much of the reporting process across our agency. This will require you to identify ways to improve the efficiency and uniformity of our existing reporting practices as you assist in the production of our regimented client reports. This will also include frequent auditing, testing and optimizing our existing tagging and tracking practices in order to ensure the most accurate measurements of our campaigns. As such, we need someone with a strong understanding of Google Analytics, G4 and Google Tag Manager, among others.
Required Skills
- Sound mathematical skills as they pertain to the analysis and measurement of media-based campaigns ranging from digital marketing (search, social, email) to traditional media like print and television.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets or other statistical analysis tools.
- The ability to craft data visualizations such as charts and graphs and understand their contextual significance in a media campaign environment.
- The ability to comfortably monitor large campaign budgets, notably media spends on a day-to-day basis.
- The ability to combine and/or work with large data sets from multiple sources.
- A deep understanding of G4 and firsthand experience leading or directly assisting in the migration of traditional Google Analytics reporting.
- Experience with Google Ads or Microsoft Ads platforms.
- Ability to analyze digital marketing campaign performance data and recommend campaign optimizations.
- Experience with Google Tag Manager and/or other web tracking tools.
- An understanding of e-commerce related metrics and shopping cart related KPIs.
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI, Databox, Supermetrics or comparable tools.
- A good communicator: one who can walk the balance between digging deep into the data but articulating its significance in a way that doesn’t lose the attention of laypersons.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- A motivated self-starter; not someone who waits to be tasked with what to do next.
- Friendly, ideally possessing a good sense of humor.
Required Credentials
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, marketing or related fields.
- 1–2 years working in a B2B environment (preferred).
- 3–5 years directly supporting analytical assessments, ideally in a marketing or agency-related role (though not required for the perfect candidate).
