Hey Dayton - Keep Your Chin Up!

A few weeks ago, I arrived at the office in a tizzy, which some would say is not uncommon. This day, however, I was especially irritated by the headline of the Dayton Daily News (http://mo.daytondailynews.com/business/dayton-expected-to-have-slow-job-growth-for-next-decade-1189688.html), which claims Dayton is taking longer than most areas to recover from the recession. The reason for my irritation? I am sick and tired of all of the doom and gloom about Dayton.

Did you ever play the hot potato game as a child? I know that some of the tech-savvy and sophisticated kids of today might not consider this game entertaining, but, as a child, I thought it was fun. The game is designed to be fast-paced and high-pressured, and it leaves only one sucker standing. Sadly, I think that our political leaders are playing a game of hot potato these days, passing their criticisms of each other back and forth, hoping that only one of them is left standing as the winner on November 3 this year.
